About BPW Fahrzeugtechnik
BPW (Bergische Achsen KG) is one of the most traditional names in the transport industry. While the main plant in Wiehl serves the global market for heavy lorry trailers, the BPW Fahrzeugtechnik division in Paderborn has built up an excellent reputation for light trailer components over decades. Since its integration into the DexKo Group (AL-KO), this technological heritage has been continued.
Durability through technical precision
BPW components are known for their solid construction and ease of maintenance. BPW running gear is the first choice, particularly in the commercial sector and for heavy transport solutions.
- Axle designs: BPW rubber suspension axles with the characteristic square axle tube are distinguished by particularly stable handling.
- Overrun brake systems: The ZAF series is one of the most widely fitted overrun couplings and is known for its robustness and ease of adjustment.
- Wheel brakes: BPW brakes (e.g. S 2005-7 RASK) deliver high braking performance and, thanks to standardised repair kits, are extremely long-lasting.
Spare parts identification and service
A notable advantage of the BPW brand is its precise documentation. Almost every component can be clearly identified by a 10-digit part number (e.g. 47.XX.XXX.XXX). Even though many parts are now sold under the AL-KO umbrella, the proven BPW design essentially remains unchanged.
