Description

BPW adjusting bolt for wheel brakes of the S 1704 to S 2504-7 series. In the adjusting mechanism, the bolt is used to set the clearance between brake linings and drum.

A seized or damaged adjusting bolt prevents correct adjustment of the brake. Therefore check the bolt when changing the brake shoes and, after fitting, set the shoe clearance to BPW specifications; adjust both wheel brakes of an axle equally.
