Description

Self-locking hex nut to DIN 985, thin type with non-metallic clamping insert. When screwed on, the insert presses into the thread turns and secures the joint against loosening caused by vibration.

The bolt must protrude at least two thread turns beyond the nut so that the insert engages fully. Replace the nut after loosening, as the clamping effect diminishes. Do not use non-metallic inserts at points exposed to high heat.
