247 LIGHTING resistor, 12/24 V, 50 W, 6 Ohm, 55 x 40 x 18 mm, 2-pin with flat connector
The 247 LIGHTING load resistor is connected into the circuit in parallel with an LED lamp and compensates for its low current draw. The vehicle's bulb failure monitoring then recognises the LED lamp as working, and the indicator flashes at normal frequency.
The resistor converts the additional power into heat and becomes hot during operation. Therefore mount it on a metal surface, at a distance from cables and plastic parts.
The resistance value must match the wattage of the replaced filament bulb. A separate resistor is required for each converted lamp or indicator side.
