About Franz Miederhoff
Franz Miederhoff is a long-established company from the Sauerland region that operates worldwide and is regarded as the European market leader for fastening components for technical textiles. Whether for a small light trailer, a heavy curtainsider lorry or marine applications, Miederhoff supplies the hardware that holds covers securely and permanently in place. The brand stands for "quality in steel and plastic", precisely tailored to the needs of vehicle builders and trimmers.
Precision for wind and weather
Miederhoff components have to withstand enormous tensile forces and constant exposure to the weather. That is why the company relies on high-quality materials and precise manufacturing processes.
- Eyelets and washers: Available in all common DIN sizes. The galvanised steel eyelets and rust-proof brass versions in particular are the standard for durable tarpaulin fabrication.
- Locking systems: From classic round and oval staples to modern turnbuttons, Miederhoff offers systems that allow the cover to be handled quickly and safely.
- Elastic cords and customs cables: High-strength rubber cords and plastic-coated wire ropes provide the necessary tension and, where required, meet the strict requirements for customs sealing (TIR).
- Tarpaulin tensioners and ratchets: Robust tools and fittings for sliding curtain systems (curtainsiders) that lock securely even under high mechanical load.
Spare parts for tarpaulin repairs
A major advantage of Miederhoff products is their standardisation. As almost all tarpaulin makers rely on this range, defective fasteners or lost strap staples can easily be replaced with original spare parts without affecting the fit of the cover.
