Description

The red nose weight gauge is placed under the coupling of the loaded trailer to check the nose weight on the towing device before setting off.

Excessive nose weight overloads the towing device and the rear axle of the towing vehicle, while too little encourages the combination to sway. The load should be distributed so that the measured value is below and as close as possible to the permissible nose weight.
