Description

The type 68-1 tow ball is bolted to the 4-hole flange of the towing device. The ball neck guides the ball rearwards and slightly upwards. Among the 4-hole balls with this hole spacing, type 68-1 is the version with the highest nose weight.

If this version is fitted instead of a downward-cranked ball such as type 169, the coupling height is around 50 mm higher. Before replacing, therefore compare the type designation, reach and height offset on the old part and check the coupling height after fitting.
