Description

The WINTERHOFF WW 8-C is a coupling head for trailers with a round drawbar tube, fitted with vertical bolting. The coupling connects the trailer to the tow ball of the towing vehicle.

Selection depends on tube diameter, type of bolting, hole spacing and bore diameter; these dimensions should be measured on the existing drawbar. The permitted gross weight of the coupling must be at least equal to that of the trailer, and the nose weight must not be exceeded in use. Versions with and without the +HAL suffix have different manufacturer numbers; the fitted coupling is identified by its type designation and manufacturer number. New bolts and self-locking nuts should be used for fitting and tightened to the torque specified by the manufacturer.
