Description
Hydraulic CHAPEL brake cylinder of the Standard design, available with three piston diameters and the same stroke. The extending piston actuates the brake rod.
With a larger piston, the actuating force and the oil requirement per stroke increase. When replacing, piston diameter and stroke must match; otherwise braking force and travel at the brake lever change. Matching seal kits are available for overhaul, each also covering the Boogie and Palonnier designs with the same piston diameter.
