Description
Hydraulic CHAPEL brake cylinder of the Palonnier design for actuation via the compensating bar. It acts on the compensating bar, which distributes the braking force to both sides.
The Palonnier version is heavier than the Boogie cylinder of the same diameter. When replacing, piston diameter and stroke must match; otherwise braking force and travel at the brake lever change. For overhaul, seal kits of the JVF series matching the piston diameter are available.
