Description
CHAPEL battery isolator switch CHCMS that disconnects the battery from the connected circuit.
On parked vehicles, the disconnected circuit prevents the battery from discharging through quiescent currents. During work on the electrics, the downstream circuit is thus free of voltage. The switch is identified by the CHAPEL designation CHCMS. Before disconnecting, the consumers are switched off so that the switch does not break the circuit under load.
