Description

Together with a ball stud, the ball socket forms a ball joint as used on gas springs and linkages. The slotted socket is pressed onto the ball and holds it positively; it is connected via the internal thread.

The versions differ in thread and effective length. The ball diameters of socket and stud must match. Since the effective length changes the installed length of a gas spring, choose the same effective length when replacing.
