Description

KNOTT overrun damper for the KF17E, KRV17E and KHD15 overrun couplings. It damps the movement of the drawbar in the overrun coupling so that the brake does not engage abruptly when the trailer runs up and the trailer does not start to surge.

The weight class distinguishes this damper from dimensionally similar KNOTT dampers for lighter and heavier systems; the designation on the type plate of the overrun coupling is decisive. A damper that leaks or can be pushed together without noticeable resistance needs replacing.
