Description

Overrun damper as a replacement part for GRÜMER overrun couplings AK 3509 AWS and AK 3509 AWUS 2020 on trailers up to year of manufacture 1996. The damper slows the movement of the drawbar and prevents the trailer from running abruptly into the towing vehicle when decelerating.

Dampers of different lengths are listed for these types. Before ordering, check the year of manufacture on the type plate and measure the distance between the eye centres on the removed damper.

If the drawbar can be pushed in without noticeable resistance with the trailer uncoupled, the damping has worn out.
