Description

The taper seat wheel bolt is a wheel bolt that screws the wheel directly into the threaded holes of the hub. It is used with rims that have a conical countersink.

Confusing it with ball seat bolts of the same thread size leads to point contact and wheels working loose. Before replacing, check the seat shape, thread and shank length on the old part; the thread engagement length must suit the hub. Tighten wheel bolts crosswise to the specified torque.
