Description

The steel cover plate is a replacement part for the backplate of PEITZ wheel brakes R 234-76 and S 234 R. Once welded in, it keeps dirt and spray water away from the brake mechanism.

Before welding it in, check the brake designation on the backplate. Carry out welding work with the brake shoes removed so that the linings are not damaged by heat or weld spatter.

Then clean the weld seam and treat it against corrosion before the brake is reassembled and adjusted.
