Description
The NIEPER sealing ring is a ground steel ring that closes the narrow gap between stub axle and hub bore. Unlike an elastomer shaft seal, it seals by means of the small gap width rather than a sealing lip.
The height of the ring helps determine how far inwards the bearing sits in the hub. When replacing, compare the inside and outside diameters and the height with the old part.
