Description

The AL-KO handbrake lever is intended for the 131 R overrun coupling. The gas spring acts as an energy store: if the trailer rolls backwards with the handbrake applied, it re-tensions the brake.

The breakaway cable is attached to the towing vehicle and brakes the trailer in the event of unintentional uncoupling. The lever is replaced as a complete unit, so the gas spring does not need to be transferred.
