Description

The hold-down spring is a spare part for the PEITZ wheel brake S 234 R and the NIEPER wheel brakes GU 230 x 30 and GU 250 x 40. It holds the brake shoes in position on the brake back plate.

Together with the hold-down pin, the spring secures each brake shoe. Fatigued springs let the shoes rattle and bear unevenly, so renew the hold-down springs on both sides of the axle when changing the linings.
