Description

The KNOTT expander spreads the brake shoes against the brake drum when the brake is applied. It fits wheel brakes in sizes 200 x 30 to 250 x 50 mm, including the SCHLEGL 520 and 425 and the BPW S 2003-5 RASK, S 2005-5 RASK and S 2504-5 RASK.

A stiff or worn expander leads to uneven braking. When fitting, apply a thin coat of heat-resistant brake grease to the sliding surfaces, keep grease away from the brake linings and adjust the brakes on both sides after assembly.
