Description
Brake drum as a replacement for IFOR WILLIAMS trailers with a braked axle. The drum provides the friction surface for the brake shoes and carries the wheel via the PCD. The PCD corresponds to an imperial dimension and must be distinguished from metric PCDs of similar size when measuring.
The drum is supplied with a compact bearing. Compact bearings require no adjustment; the axle nut is tightened to the torque specified by the axle manufacturer, and self-locking nuts are replaced once they have been loosened.
Brake drums are replaced on both sides of an axle so that braking remains even on the left and right. After installation, the brake system is readjusted.
