Description

Reinforced brake drum as a replacement for the PEITZ wheel brake R 234-76. The drum provides the friction surface for the brake shoes and carries the wheel via the PCD.

The drum is designed for tapered roller bearings; bearing pairing and bearing seats are compared with the old part before ordering. With tapered roller bearings, the bearing play is set via the axle nut after fitting, and a new shaft seal is installed.

Brake drums are replaced on both sides of an axle so that braking remains even on the left and right. After installation, the brake system is readjusted.
