Description
Brake drum as a replacement for the BPW wheel brake S 2005-7 RASK on axles with compact bearings. The drum provides the friction surface for the brake shoes and carries the wheel via the PCD.
This wheel brake exists with different PCDs; the drum is matched via the PCD or the manufacturer number of the removed drum. Compact bearings require no adjustment; the axle nut is tightened to the torque specified by the axle manufacturer, and self-locking nuts are replaced once they have been loosened.
Brake drums are replaced on both sides of an axle so that braking remains even on the left and right. After installation, the brake system is readjusted.
