Description

Brake drum for replacement on the wheel brake 1637 with compact bearings. The drum provides the friction surface for the brake shoes; the compact bearing is included.

The wheel brake 1637 exists with different PCDs; the PCD of the removed drum is decisive. Compact bearings require no adjustment; the axle nut is tightened to the torque specified by the axle manufacturer, and self-locking nuts are replaced once they have been loosened.

Brake drums are replaced on both sides of an axle so that braking remains even on the left and right. After installation, the brake system is readjusted.
