Description

The red breakaway cable with snap hook and ring is part of the safety equipment of braked trailers. If the trailer comes loose while driving, the cable pulls the handbrake lever of the overrun coupling before it breaks.

The PVC coating protects the steel cable against corrosion and abrasion. Replace a cable with damaged coating, kinked strands or after it has been triggered.

Check the length on the drawbar: the cable needs enough slack in bends but must not drag on the road.
