Description

The red breakaway cable with snap hook and ring is intended for braked trailers with overrun brake. In the event of separation while driving, it pulls the handbrake lever and activates the overrun brake.

The cable length must suit the drawbar: between the handbrake lever and the attachment point on the towing vehicle, the cable needs sufficient slack in bends. Before buying, therefore measure the length of the old cable or the distance on the drawbar.

Route the cable so that it does not become taut in bends and does not drag on the road. After it has been triggered or if it is damaged, always use a new cable.
