Description

The black breakaway cable with snap hook and ring is part of the safety equipment of braked trailers. In the event of unintended separation from the towing vehicle, the cable actuates the handbrake lever and prevents the trailer from rolling on uncontrolled.

The PVC coating protects the steel cable against corrosion and abrasion. Replace a cable with damaged coating, kinked strands or after it has been triggered.

Check the length on the drawbar: the cable needs enough slack in bends but must not drag on the road.
