Description
Red-sheathed AL-KO breakaway cable for braked trailers with overrun coupling. If the connection to the towing vehicle breaks, the cable applies the handbrake and brakes the trailer automatically.
One end carries a snap hook, the other an open wire hook. The red colour makes the cable easy to spot during the pre-departure check.
The right length depends on the drawbar and the towing bracket: the cable must allow cornering without dragging on the road. Therefore measure the distance between the handbrake lever and the attachment point on the towing vehicle beforehand.
