Description

Breakaway cable for braked trailers. It connects the trailer brake to the towing vehicle and applies the brake if the trailer separates unintentionally from the towing vehicle.

The steel cable is PVC-sheathed; the sheathing protects it against corrosion and abrasion. The snap hook is attached to the towing vehicle.

Choose the cable length to suit the distance between the handbrake lever and the attachment point on the towing vehicle. The cable must not tighten when cornering and must not drag on the ground.
