Bünte against child labour
Our responsibility
As a European wholesaler, Bünte recognised the need to know where and under which circumstances the products have been produced.
Bünte is against every type of child labour and checks its suppliers for that regularly. In addition to that, Bünte obliged itself to act in accordance with the ILO convention 138 and 182. This is also obligatory for Bünte’s suppliers. If they do not or cannot accept these conventions they will be blocked immediately–even if this has negative effects for the product range.
Bünte’s customers shall be sure that they buy only products which are produced under fair circumstances.

| Gandhi for Children Germany |
| Since March 2009 Bünte supports the organisation Gandhi for children. This organisation was founded by Dr. Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi. The aim is to support emerging communities in economically depressed regions of the world and protect children from child labour by building schools, production centres, and further local support. In addition, “Gandhi for children” shows companies how they can work against child labour. The aim is also to bring the living conditions in structurally weak regions to mind. |
